QNOUM KAUN KHMER I grew up in this place Full of small town grace Working all day To escape reality I thought I was the one To be oppressed by none As I belong to one And the other is my sun (4 beat) But Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer So where do I fit Between the giver and the given Do I have to be One or the other? How do I identify? Am I just another spy? Are they giving me a try Experimental other Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer Your words hurt those That surround you, though you know Nothing but your own Boats on a stormy sea Sometimes we're the ones That suffer from the guns You think shoot words Are they harmless words They are not harmless words (Pause) Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am brown or white qnoum kaun khmer Qunoum kaun khmer And Ma qunoum says that i Am just right Because qunoum kaun khmer Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer Qnoum kaun Khmer Buntay they say that I Am just too white To be Kaun khmer

We Don't really know how to fight But we do KNOW How to live and die WE, we CAN'T Can't control our minds We must survive We have seen our families die And we've felt the Bones of sacrifice Feel Trauma of our blood lines We must survive
(short instrumental) We have heard our families died And we've seen the Bones of sacrifice Feel trauma of our blood lines For them we survive We, We know our history will thrive in the minds of those who've seen the night we have faced the genocide yet we're still alive dance for me sing my songs now Don't forget that I am the one who has made barriers come down as i sing at my temple a gun We Don't really know how to fight But we do KNOW How to live and die We, we CANT Can't control our minds We must survive (instrumental) We Don't really know how to fight But we do KNOW How to live and die We, we CANT Can't control our minds We must survive We, We know our history will thrive in the minds of those who've seen the night we have faced the genocide yet we're still alive (short instrumental) dance for me sing my songs now Don't forget that I am the one who has made barriers come down as i sing at my temple a gun We have proven that we've arrived and We do know the histories of our lives see our mothers' sacrifice For them we survive (Breakdown) for them we thrive for them…. we (pause) cry (music crescendo) (long instrumental) We Don't really know how to fight But we do KNOW How to live and die WE, we CAN'T Can't control our minds We must survive We have seen our families die And we've felt the Bones of sacrifice Feel Trauma of our blood lines We must survive
